Last season, he joined Oscar Robertson as the only players to average a Triple-Double for a season. He now surpasses Oscar, becoming the only player to average a Triple-Double for 2 seasons, and has done so consecutively.

This is definitely the weirdest story line of the season to me.

Like this didn't even really become a thing until a week ago. Nobody talked about him averaging a triple-double again, and he does it on the last day of the season.

I really disagree. Lebron is quite clearly the best player of his generation, but there are plenty of years where he wasn't nearly deserving of MVP, like Curry or Durant's MVP years. It would have been criminal if Lebron won it over them.

Funny that his basketball skills would probably be more appreciated if he scored in single digits while doing everything else the same...

But in reality that would just allow the blame to fall on his teammates. The fact that a player can average a triple double with over 20 PPG and have his play called into question is ridiculous to me.

Even if he “statpads” on defence, his team still gets the board. And him being the point guard doesn’t hurt as he can run the fast break.
